Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

When designing HVAC systems for new buildings and rooms, the thermal comfort as well as the room air quality are the main issues to be considered. Ventilation is important to generate sufficient air exchange and reduce the risks of virus infections, while efficient heating and cooling is crucial to cut down the energy consumption and carbon foot print of buildings. I use LES taking into account natural convection and radiative heat transfer to predict the indoor climate in rooms accurately and evaluate the performance of HVAC systems.
